Discipline Procedures
Parents,
While I do not anticipate any major behavior problems this school year, I do have high expectations for how the students will behave in our classroom. If students have trouble being safe and following class rules, they will stay inside during Encore to reflect on their actions and they’ll come up with a solution to make better choices.
IN CONTROL RULES FOR THE CLASSROOM
Each month your child will get 7 STARS as a reminder to be a STAR STUDENT. If your child has trouble making good choices, they will be redirected in a positive way and given a warning. If the undesired behavior continues again, they will give me 1 of their stars. If a child owes me a star, that will cost them 5 min. of their Encore. If a child loses 2 stars, that equals 10 min of Encore. If 3 or more stars are taken in 1 day, they will stay inside during the entire Encore. At the end of the month, each child will get a ticket for every star they were able to keep. They can spend their tickets at the STAR STORE in the office. Students that keep all 7 stars will receive a prize from the treasure chest or a classroom ticket that contains privileges such as: lunch with the teacher, no socks, etc. The students will get all 7 stars back to start each new month.
