2nd Grade Teacher
I graduated from Wichita State University in the Fall of 2017. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Special Education. During my time at WSU, I studied Elementary Education and Early Childhood Special Education. That means that I can teach Special Education up to 3rd grade. I have always had a passion to help students who cannot use their own voice, or who need help finding their voice. I know that I will be able to use this background within my classroom to help your student achieve any goal that he or she may have.
Dear Students and Families,
My name is Katie Castor, and this is my 5th year as a teacher. I have always had a passion to help kids reach their goals and live out their dreams. My husband Zach and I have been married for 7 years. We share our home with 2 sweet puppies, Timber and Zatie. We are also expecting our first baby, a baby boy, this December.
I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Special Education at Wichita State University. I am excited to use my Special Education background within this classroom to reach all of my students in all of their unique ways. I am looking forward to having a great time and learning with your child this school year! Thank you for sharing your child with me and I cannot wait to get this year started.
I will do my very best to keep you as involved as possible as this school year starts and continues. I will send out weekly e-mails to communicate our week with you and to let you know about upcoming activities and assignments. If you have any questions or concerns or would like to schedule a conference or volunteer to help, you can contact me at kcastor@goddardusd.com.
Let’s work together to make this year the best year yet!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Castor
