Our very own Alex Phillips, 1st grade Teacher here at EAR was nominated and received the District Attitude Award. Denae Martinez, also a 1st grade Teacher nominated her and this is what she said:
"I nominated Alex for the District Attitude Award because, in the last two years I have had the joy of being her teammate, I have seen nothing short of infectious optimism, unwavering enthusiasm, and the transformative power of positivity that creates an inviting learning environment for both colleagues and students, daily. Alex showers her students and staff with confident, resilient, passionate, empathic, and gracious words and actions- she is smart, sweet, and strong- and always shows up. Which for the last 10 years in our district, has fostered a motivation for learning and growth, given a higher belief of possibilities, instilled skills used in areas of life beyond the classroom, and supported all in meeting their full potential. Alex has inspired not only me, but countless others to persevere through challenges, give meaningful communication and collaboration, and provide a safe space for learning and loving!
She's just the best"
We agree that she IS the best, and we could not be more proud to have her in our school! Way to go Mrs. Phillips!
