group of 5 soldiers standing holding packages that were sent to them

The Earhart Cares Committee, along with the support of staff, students and families from Amelia Earhart Elementary School, created packages around Thanksgiving to send to troops that are stationed overseas this holiday season.  We have heard back from a few of the troops and we wanted to share the information.  Thank you for your generosity.

My name is Master Sergeant Kaitlin Simmons, I am the First Sergeant for the 91 Air Refueling Squadron at Al Udeid Air Force Base. My squadron and I would like to send a heartfelt THANK YOU! The morale care packages were amazing.  Each and everyone of my troops were so appreciative and beyond elated for the gifts and goodies that they received. We appreciate your help more than you know. To send our thanks in one of the best ways we know how, we will be sending you an American Flag flown by our pilots out here, as well as a Certificate signed by the pilots that flew it. Thank you for your gifts, kind words and most importantly your love and support.

When we receive the flag and certificate we will share this with the Earhart community.  Below is a message from another troop that received our packages.

This is Sgt Fowler- we received the care packages from your school and just wanted to say thank you for all the gifts! We want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!”
